Arizona Tax Credits

Arizona Tax Credits are not just for schools!

Many people look for ways to give back to their community; others focus on "year-end tax-planning." Few realize that AZ state tax credits accomplish both objectives.

The individual tax credit was created in 1997 by the Arizona state legislature to encourage donations to qualified charities, such as those organizations that help the working poor or low-income seniors.  This is the same law that created the more publicized Private & Public School Tax Credits.  Formerly known as the Working Poor Credit, it is now officially known as the Credit for Donations made to Qualifying Charitable Organizations.

Christian Care Health Center is one of these qualifying organizations!  Joint filers may claim up to an $800 tax credit, individuals may claim up to $400.

Your state income taxes can be reduced by up to $4,373 jointly and $2,187 individually, if you donate to all the available tax credits.

Christian Care's 60-bed Nursing Center opened in 1981 to provide affordable nursing care for seniors. Approximately 70% of the residents are under contract with the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS/Medicaid). The state's reimbursement rates do not cover the cost of care.  Your year-end donation enables Christian Care to continue our mission of providing excellent care and a quality environment for all of our residents.
